Needles for socks

MarySD,
A few years ago I finally mastered 4 needles for socks. I have been using a. Circular for straight knitting and quite like it. Should I change to circular for socks. I know it’s just a matter of preference but I was interested to see what needles folk preferred for socks. Thanks.

How do you keep your patterns?

/u/Late_Cricket_,

Sock yarn and kidsilk haze

elizabeth7,
Has anyone knit socks with sock yarn and kidsilk haze together? Will it felt in the washer? My understanding was that if a yarn was 50 percent or less wool that felting was less likely, but the woman at the yarn shop said it would felt and didn’t recommend it.

Has anyone matched a solid yarn to Hobbii Universe?

Songblaze,
I’d love to make a blanket in either Fair Isles knit or tapestry crochet (haven’t decided yet) with Hobbii Universe and a contrast solid in white or black, but it looks like Hobbii doesn’t have a solid version (or a compatible solid of any sort) for sale. It’s listed as knitting up 28 stitches and …
