I’m knitting a shawl that has chevrons. I’m a few rows in, and my chevrons aren’t always lining up perfectly. There are increases and decreases every other row. Any tips on how I can have neat chevrons?

Improvised colourwork inspired by Dragon Age's Solas

/u/mp490_,
.. Just wanted to share my magnum opus, completed in 2024! In the run-up to the newest installment of Dragon Age earlier this year, I spent 3 months knitting this little number. I bought a cross stitch pattern on Etsy and spent 3 days reducing the colour palette to 10 colours before commencing. It too…

Sticky Toffee Cardigan buttonband question

sissiriri,
Hey all, I have a question about the button-band in the Sticky Toffee Cardigan . The pattern asks to first cast on a certain number of stitches, and then knit back and forth and attach the band to the cardigan as we go. First question: from the pattern photos, the band seems stockinette. The patter…

Ingrid Sweater Man

koconnell,
I don’t understand the instructions for the shoulders where the pattern has me knit Row 1 and Row 2 seven times with the M1’s added on Row 1. When do I knit Rows 3 and 4? Do I knit those seven times too? Or, do I knit Rows 1 and 2 seven times and then break the yarn? If someone can write out the in…
