Looking to recreate this pattern and I need help!

/u/readerssociety,
.. I wanted to recreate this sweater for my next project but I'm struggling to figure out how the artist created these textured stripes. The pattern isn't in English so I'm pretty much eyeballing it, I was thinking it could be two rows of k1, p1 perhaps? But my still quite untrained eyes are not sure.…

How do you get even tension?

SunnyFKnit,
Hi everyone! I knit continental and currently knitting flat in stockinette and have been struggling with my tensions that makes the work not neat. In the picture I just ended on a purl row and it seems my knit stitch round is looser than my purls. I have paid attentions and focused and tried to pul…

Nick Fury Cap

shywoman1970,
I’m wondering if anyone has a pattern for a cap similar to the one worn by Nick Fury in the Secret Invasion series or knows the stitch that is used? I LOVE that hat and would really like to make one.

Nice variegated yarn?

MarySD,
Can anyone recommend a nice variegated or self striping yarn suitable for a scarf. Either DK or Aran weight. I was thinking of it as a Christmas present for somebody so I better get a move on. I am in the UK. Thanks

Knitting bags

SympheeD,
Hi everyone! I love to take my knitting with me when I leave the house. Currently I am using a canvas tote bag. I would like to get a better knitting bag, but I can’t afford some of the pricier ones I have seen (and love!). I was just wondering what other knitters are using and love for toting arou…

Is colorwork something you love or hate?

/u/lemonytreess,
I'm starting my first colorwork pattern (Deathflake Mittens by Sissel KB) and I was super excited. I decided to go with these before starting on my dream knit (halibut sweater by Caitlin Hunter). While I'm only 20 or so rows into the pattern and it's my first time doing any sort of color work... I'…

Sleeve Decreases

cbakazan,
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/autumn-breeze-sw... The right and left sleeve decreases are different. The left sleeve decreases resulted in a fairly consistent decrease. The right side decreases are jagged and don’t look like the left sleeve. I’ve taken to my local yarn shop for help (thi…

Complicated crochet colorwork

malinamae,
So I have a rough idea of a sweater I would like to crochet (crochet being key), but I haven’t found a good way to go about this. The idea is really just a plain sweater with my dog’s face in the middle, and I’ve seen many knit sweaters like this, for example here. All Star Puppy Dog Is the best wa…

Glossy 100% wool?

elsuite,
Hi Friends, I’m working on a two colored stranded design that requires a flat, 100% wool yarn for MC and structure (got that covered) and a glossy or satiny fiber for the CC. The combination will suggest metal work: brass, gold or silver. Ideally, the fiber would be available in the USA. I’ve been …

Broke my 4mm needle

/u/Bitchfaceblond,
I was getting the baby dressed after bath time. I had my needles on a project in the bed and went to adjust myself and I guess pressed my hand down right on my needle. I'm so upset. It's been a horrible month. Who'd thought breaking a needle would break me. I cried like a baby.
