mix and match yarns for Heartland by Lion Brands

momtotsan,
I love the Heartland yarns for my friends who are allergic to wool, babies who need washable items, etc. but I find it hard to mix and match as it tends to be a bit thinner than other worsted weight yarns, which can cause weird effects. I want a pure black yarn to mix with some of their colors, not…

merino silk yarn advice

3Birds,
I just got back from the yarn shop with 2 skeins of Symfonie Luna yarn, intending to use it for the Musselburgh hat pattern. The yarn is 75% merino and 25% silk, a blend I don’t think I’ve knit with before. Is there anything I should be wary of with the silk content?
