/u/moth_bun,
.. pretty sure I can fight god nowI made a mistake 4 visible rows down, quite close to the end so tinking back would’ve cost me a full week probably and when I realised my mistake I put this project into knitting jail for over a month. I figured I can at least try putting a life line in, and while it …

/u/diffydaffy,
.. So I decided to make a hot water bottle cover for my mom. I was happily knitting when I suddenly thought, it the pattern going to fit? So I put it on a longer string and put the hot water bottle inside. As I'm seeing it now, completing the pattern is going to make it too long...But what will I do n…

How do you add a little luck to your knits?

/u/BillNyesHat,
I'm knitting my BIL a pair of socks in the colors of his favorite soccer team; house socks for him to wear while watching the game. And I thought it would be fun to make them lucky, but I have no idea how.I don't want to just say they're lucky, if there are actual superstitions, rituals or traditio…

I bought the pattern Luxurious Swirl

busywoman18,
I bought a pattern Luxurious Swirl(tablecloth crochet)by Patricia Kristoffersen. When I got to Row 13(split FP dtr on the next sc. It just doesn’t look right. I have unraveled that row several times and it still doesn’t look right. I used my cell and really can’t seem to find an image using split F…

I made a hat

/u/winterberrymeadow,
.. It is not perfect. I didn't want it to be slouchy, so I stopped doing the chart earlier than I was supposed to. I also realised I hate purling, so I was lazy and turned around the hat and did the last part as knit. But I am 100% happy with it. It is so soft and warm because it is baby alpaca and it…

Tabletop christmas tree crochet pattern help

loubc,
I’ve just started making Tabletop christmas tree by Ling Ryan Hooked on patterns. I’m a bit confused on rounds 4 and 5. I think once I understand what to do on these two rounds it should be straightforward. I’d find a video really useful if there’s any available by any chance. Round 4 - shells of 3…

Frogging vs knitting backwards

/u/TerribleRestaurant41,
.. I’m knitting a top down sweater and I need to frog back to the yoke because the armholes are not deep enough for a comfortable fit on my partner (this is their Christmas gift). I never frog it’s too scary, I even taught myself to knit backwards but it takes so long. My fear with frogging is droppin…

Short-Row Colorwork Knitting

Pearlyskies,
(Hopefully this is the right section for this question!) I really want to get this book but before I do I’m wondering if this technique will also work with stockinette? (I realize I’m probably the only knitter on the planet who doesn’t like garter, but I really don’t.) Anyway, thanks in advance for…

Anyone greatly underestimate how long a project will take?

/u/Background_Tip_3260,
I’m currently knitting the Henry scarf. Honestly thought it would take about a week lol. Each row takes me about an hour and there are 164 rows. I am so discouraged how slow I am. Unfortunately I feel like this pattern is such a test of attention. My muscle memory has kicked in several times and I …

Hat Decrease - 5 pointed decrease

EmerSnowy,
Hi. I knit a hat using Parkside Hat pattern. It is a bit snug. The wool I used said 18 sts to 4 in. But it takes me 20 sts to get 4 in. And the pattern I am using says 20 sts of rib 1x1 gives 4 ins. But it takes me 28 sts or 14 sets of 1x1 (approx) to get 4 in. So anyway the pattern recommends 80 s…

Finished the front part!

/u/phie98,
.. To be honest, I don't know what to think about it. I knitted the armholes too big, now I'm gonna try to fix the problem with an adjusted back section and cuffs on both sides after sewing them together. I'll keep you updated. Hope this will turn out better after finishing this project.

First Colorwork Project!

/u/maantre,
.. First real attempt at colorwork, so far so good! I found a simple motif from an image and just ran it along a short cuff sock. Wanted to keep it small in case I had to start over lol.Pretty sure I switched color dominance a few times, will keep trying to get that straight. I’ve given up any fancy m…
